Elementary Parent Teacher Organization
The Jefferson Academy Elementary PTO serves a critical function
and role within the school. The organizations’ goal is to
be a visible support to our entire Elementary program. The PTO
works to provide financial as well as volunteer hour support throughout
the school year.
Family volunteerism is a key component of a Jefferson
Academy education. Each family is expected to volunteer for the
school. A minimum of 20 hours per family per year is encouraged.
When volunteers work at the school during the day, they are expected
to sign in at the school office and wear a name badge. Volunteers
are asked to record their hours before leaving the school. The
record of volunteer hours is used for grant applications and
various reports.
The Jefferson Academy Elementary PTO meets
the first Tuesday of each month in the Elementary cafeteria from
7:00 - 8:00 pm. Child care is free and refreshments are
provided.
