Pre-K Program
JA offers a Preschool UPK program for students that qualify. Students must be four years old by October 1. Students that are eligible for Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year do not qualify. (UPK link)
Jefferson Academy Preschool is located at 9955 Yarrow Street Temp #1.
The JA Pre-K program is dedicated to fostering a positive, safe, and stimulating environment that caters to the unique needs of each child. Our curriculum is designed to engage children in a play-based, developmentally appropriate approach that supports their overall development. We believe that play is an essential avenue for learning, encouraging creativity and imagination while laying a strong foundation for school readiness and achievement.
JA Pre-K will be open Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. for the morning session and 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. for the afternoon session.
JA Pre-K will follow the JA school schedule for holidays and non-contact days.
JA Pre-K will not be open on late start days and early release/half days.
Preschool UPK 4-year old program for the 2026-2027 School Year
Families interested in the enrolling their student in the our PreK program for the 2026-2027 school will submit an application in EnrollJeffco, First round enrollment begins December 2, 2025 and ends January 9, 2026. Applications will be placed in a lottery and offers for enrollment will go out toward the end of January. Students must be four-years old by October 1, 2026 and qualify for UPK. Students who are five years of age by October 1, 2026 will not qualify for UPK . We offer a morning and afternoon class. The morning class is from 8:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. The afternoon class is from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. The maximum class size is 20 students. Along with the teacher, our class has an assistant. Students eligible for Kindergarten will not be considered for this program. Student may only attend the morning or afternoon session.

Second Round Open Enrollment begins January 15, 2026. This is for families that did not submit an application in EnrollJeffco (First Round) or declined an offer and choose to apply again. Students in Second Round are placed at the bottom of the First Round lists.
