Hello JA families,
We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday, August 18 for the Meet-n-Greet. Students will meet their teacher and see their classroom. Students should bring their school supplies. If you ordered the prepaid supplies from 1st Day School Supplies last spring, these were delivered to your students’ homeroom. We encourage these times to be brief so that all families have this individual time. We also want to encourage you to take the time to meet your Specials teachers (music, art, band, PE, core knowledge connections, technology, character education and special education/gifted & talented).
Times (for all grades):
12:00-2:00 pm or 4:00-7:00 pm. Families may choose the time frame that works best.
PTO will be hosting their 5th Annual Party on the Playground during the Meet-n-Greet to answer your questions and introduce you to the many volunteer opportunities. We will also have a lot of fun too!
Please NOTE that this day is counted as a student contact day and attendance is taken.
Kindergarten Meet and Greet- families will attend the 15 minute time slot that they signed up for with their teacher.
General Reminders: Many families have completed the steps below. We will be running reports in the next couple of weeks and will notify families if anything is missing.
School Calendar- This is accessible on the main page of the website
Step 1, School Agreement for the 2025-2026 school year ( link) This must be completed for every student. These agreements must be completed before your student will be assigned a Chromebook.
Step 2, you will need to update your information in Infinite Campus Parent Portal, sign the Jeffco Schools’ agreements and pay fees*.
Step 3, Health Care forms. (These may not apply to your student.) You will complete the online annual update for each of your students. The link for registration will be available beginning August 1 at 8:00 a.m. For those that need assistance with Online Annual Update, please come by the office on August 12 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or call (303-438-1011).
*School Fees - These may be paid online in Infinite Campus Parent Portal. These fees are for consumable materials, technology and field trips. Also the fee for Outdoor Lab (6th grade). Login to Infinite Campus Parent Portal - click More - click Jeffco Student Fees Payment.
Assessment Days (K-6) - Students are assessed at the beginning of the year in order for us to attain a benchmark of data. The assessment days are Thursday August 21 and Friday, August 22. The assessment session will be for a ½ day for each student. Teachers will provide a sign up to you by the first day of school. The assessment session time frames are Thursday 8-11:00 a.m., Thursday 12-3:00 p.m., and Friday 8-11:00 a.m. Your student will only attend one of these sessions.
Pre-K follows their regular schedule.
The Cub Den (church) parking lot - We are very excited to start our Jagcare and PreK programs in the newly acquired church facility. Please note that the parking spaces along the fence on the east side of the playground are reserved for PreK drop off only.
We’d love your input! Please take a moment to complete this year’s Family and Community Connection Survey: www.jajags.com/forms/25-26-ja-family-community-connection-survey.
This quick survey helps us learn more about your interests, availability for volunteer opportunities, family-owned businesses, and any potential needs. It’s an important tool to help us connect, support, and involve our JA families in meaningful ways throughout the year.
Our Community Engagement Specialist, Tiffany Flores, will follow up if needed and help connect you with resources or opportunities based on your responses. Thank you for helping us build a strong and connected JA community!
Tuesday, August 20 - JA Board meeting at Summit Westminster at 6:00 p.m. and via Zoom
