October 1 Count - Schools are funded according to enrollment during the October 1 Count. The timeframe starts September 24 and ends on October 8. If your student will have an extended absence during these dates, please contact Shelly Cohen at 720-887-1992.
Parent/Teacher Conferences (Kindergarten - 5th grade) - These will be held on Thursday, October 16 from 1:00 -7:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 17 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please note that on Thursday, October 16 students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will not be served. Students will not have school on Friday, October 17. Classroom teachers will be sending out an email on Monday September 29th at 3pm.
SAC meeting - We invite you all to the October School Accountability Committee meeting on Wednesday October 1st in the Conservatory at 5:30pm. Here is the agenda.
Neighborhood meeting - Mr. Feddema met with members of our neighborhood to discuss how things are going and if there are any concerns. Most reported we are doing a great job and keeping our area clean and tidy. 2 concerns were shared: some parent drivers are going too fast in the neighborhood, and some drivers are on their phone while driving. Please be extra cautious when entering the neighborhood and the campus in order to keep a safe environment for our community. Thank you.
Attendance/tardies - It is okay to inform your student’s classroom teacher of an absence/tardy. However, the office officially keeps track of attendance. Best practice for parents/guardians is to input absences and tardies in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Parents/guardians may also call the attendance line at 303-438-1011 option 1.
Lost & Found - School has just begun and our Lost & Found areas are full. Please have your student check these areas for items. Parents may also come in and check after signing in at the office.
Karate - Late Start Wednesday Mornings - Synergy Martial Arts (1st - 6th grade) - Get the day started off on the right foot! Karate Club helps your child to develop self-defense and strong character through martial arts related skills, drills and games. Head karate instructor, Scott Pedersen, will be teaching four early morning ‘Karate Club’ sessions (10/1, 11/5, 12/3) from 8:45-9:45 a.m. in the primary gym. Drama Club - This after school program is offered to 5th & 6th grade students. Students may try out for singing, acting or dancing parts in the play or take part in the stage crew. Cast rehearsals are on Mondays and Crew work days are on Thursdays. Auditions will be on November 17 and our performances will be on April 21 and 22. Yearbook Club - This Yearbook Club is offered to students in 5th & 6th grade. Students will participate in choosing the yearbook theme, cover and the creation of pages. There is not a fee for this club. Registration here.
