Parent/Teacher Conferences (Kindergarten - 5th grade) - These will be held on Thursday, October 16 from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 17 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please note that on Thursday, October 16 students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will not be served. Students will not have school on Friday, October 17.
Hearing & Vision Volunteers Needed! - Tuesday, November 4, Wednesday, November 5 & Thursday, November 6. Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00-2:45 p.m.with a break from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 2:30 with a break from 12:45 - 1:30 p.m. You may volunteer for the entire day or the morning or afternoon session. Watch J.A.G.S. program is BACK!!!! (Jaguars Assisting Great Students) is an innovative guardian-involvement educational initiative (derived from the national WatchDOGS program) with two primary goals:
Provide positive adult role models for the students
Demonstrated by their presence that education is important
Enhance school security and reduce bullying with extra sets of eyes and ears
WatchJAGS will begin October 21, and adults will be able to sign up and support our elementary school on a Tuesday or a Thursday for a full day or a half day. The sign up will be coming shortly. We are finishing the website for this with all the information included. We hope you can volunteer a day to have fun with our students.
Community Playground - This is located at the northeast corner of our campus and is open to the public. Many families take advantage of this opportunity after school. It has been noted that there are safety concerns with students climbing trees, fences, etc. We require parents to supervise their children.
Yearbook Club - This Yearbook Club is offered to students in 5th & 6th grade. Students will participate in choosing the yearbook theme, cover and the creation of pages. There is not a fee for this club. Registration here.
Halloween Costumes - The students and staff of JA may observe winter holidays and Valentine’s Day with parties. There are no parties held for Halloween, and students are not to come to school in costume that day. Remember, October 31st is the Boosterthon Fun Run that day and we will have a full day of fun.

Fun Run: Get ready for our biggest fundraiser of the year! It’s always a fun, high-energy event for the whole school community.
Book Fair - Our In Person Book Fair is Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17 in the Intermediate Gym. (Books can be purchased on-line from October13 - October 26). Mileage Club: It's Special Charm Day, Tuesday, October 14. Encourage your kids to participate and come join the fun! Volunteers can SIGN UP for the full session (11:05 a.m.–12:45 p.m.) or just the first hour. 6th Grade families: Your Special Charm Day is coming up on October 23!
