Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) Testing has been going great so far. Next week will be completing the math portion of the testing as well as 4th grade Social Studies and 5th Grade Science. Here is a link for the complete schedule. Please avoid taking your student out during their testing time. Students that are ill should remain home and will be able to do makeup testing. Students arriving late after testing has started will need to remain in the office until their class is finished testing.
5th grade music program - Tuesday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the large gym. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. Please have your student go directly to their classroom to get recorders, costume pieces (if needed) and then get lined up and ready for the performance. Band students do NOT need their instruments. Have students wear black, white or red for the concert.
Coffee with the Principal - Thursday, April 16 at 8:15 in the commons. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Come visit with Mr. Feddema and enjoy coffee and donuts.
A Day Without Hate - We are excited about our April spirit day A Day Without Hate on April 23. A Day Without Hate is a student-led movement promoting nonviolence, unity, and respect in schools. We believe that every individual deserves a safe and respectful environment, and we strive to create a culture of empathy, understanding, and unity through our student-led efforts. Our student council is planning different activities that will focus on spreading kindness, unity, and empathy! We would like all students to wear white. What started as a single day of unity has grown into a powerful movement, reaching tens of thousands of students across the globe who come together to say they will not tolerate violence or hate, and instead choose to reach out to friends and classmates with the message, "We're all in this together." Learn more on the Day Without Hate website at this link.
