Black & Gold Bash - Friday, April 24 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Elementary School - As we prepare for a large turnout, we kindly ask that you plan ahead for parking. Our school parking lots will be very full, so if you are able to carpool with friends or neighbors, it would be greatly appreciated.. Also, please remember there is no parking on 99th and no parking in the school's fire lanes.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week - Join us in celebrating the incredible teachers and staff who help our kids grow every single day! Their dedication, care, and hard work make a lasting impact on our school community, and this is our chance to show just how much we appreciate them. We invite you to be part of the celebration by contributing items or getting involved. Every little bit helps us make this week extra special for those who give so much to our students. Field Day Preschool & Kindergarten and 1st & 2nd Grade - Thursday, April 30. Students should arrive at school at the normal time (8:00 a.m.). Preschool (AM & PM students) and Kindergarten students will participate from 8:30 -10:45 a.m. Preschool students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. and Kindergarten students will be dismissed for the day at 11:30 a.m. 1st & 2nd grade students will participate in the afternoon from 12: 30-2:45 p.m.

Field Day 3rd - 6th grade - Friday, May 1. Students should arrive at school at the normal start time (8:00 a.m.). 5th & 6th grade will participate in the morning from 8:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m. 3rd & 4th grade will participate in the afternoon from 12:30 - 2:45 p.m.

3rd Grade Families - Band is available as an elective starting in 4th grade, and we would love to have your student continue our school's musical legacy. Interested families need to sign up to attend our instrument try-out night (link). Students during their time where will rotate trying out available instruments. Reach out to Mr. Hollis (ghollis@jajags.com) with any questions.
School Supplies for 2026-2027 School Year - It's time to pre-order your students' school supplies for next year! We have partnered with a company that will put together a box for all the school supplies. Supplies will be delivered to the school in August and taken to your student's classroom before the first day of school. Order for your student’s next year grade level by May 3. Assessment Days - May 7 & May 8 - Teachers sent out a sign up earlier this week. There are three sessions: Thursday, May 7 - 8:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday May 7 - 12:00-3:00 p.m.
and Friday, May 8 - 8:00-11:00 a.m. Your student will only attend one of these sessions. Lunch is not served.

Join the PTO Board or Lead a Committee! - As we near the end of the school year, our JA PTO Board and school administration are working to identify volunteers to fill PTO Board positions for the upcoming year—and we’d love your help! If you are interested in serving on the PTO Board, please take a few minutes to complete the JA PTO Board Letter of Intent Form. Letters of Intent are due by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. We are especially in need of a Treasurer for next year. If you have a knack for organization, budgeting, or finance, this is a vital role that helps keep our PTO running strong. Thank you for helping us make next year the best one yet!
Mileage Club - Only 3 Mileage Club days left! Come join us on the track for the final days and tell your kids about our last Special Charm Days, Grades 2-6 on May 12 and Grade 1 on May 14. Volunteer for Mileage Club.
