Principal Message -

This has been a great week, filled with staff entertainment with the beginning of our Boosterthon Fun Run staff dress up days.  What has been your favorite so far?  Inflatables, wigs, sparkles and sequins?  I must say, this has been the year with the most amount of staff participation and the students are loving the energy.  Most dress up days are scheduled for next week, so be on the lookout for some funny outfits.

We have completed all beginning of the year assessments, and grade level teams are regularly progress monitoring students each month.  As we target the growth of all students in Math and ELA, we want to make sure we capture the most up-to-date data on an ongoing basis and make necessary adjustments along the way.  Teachers are also prepping for conferences.  As a reminder, guardians have access to your child’s grades in the Infinite Campus parent portal.  This provides the most up to date information about your child’s progress.  If you have any questions or need help accessing the parent portal, please contact the main office at 303-438-1011.

The lost and found is getting full, please have your students check for their lost items.

School Accountability Committee (SAC): Your Voice Matters

Have you ever wondered how parent feedback shapes decisions at Jefferson Academy? The School Accountability Committee (SAC) gives families a direct opportunity to collaborate with school leadership on priorities that impact students and the school community. Recent parent feedback through SAC has helped drive meaningful improvements, including expanded elementary club offerings, improved calendar alignment, enhanced campus safety measures, continued virtual participation options, streamlined parent surveys, student achievement recognition programs, and the launch of a volunteer database. Join us for our SAC Kickoff Meeting on Wednesday, October 7, from 5:30–6:30 PM, held in a hybrid format at the JA Elementary Conservatory and via Zoom. Meeting topics include principal introductions, the Unified Improvement Plan (UIP), annual survey priorities, and school updates. Free childcare will be available. Learn more and access the Zoom link at https://www.jajags.com/page/sac. We hope you'll join the conversation and help shape the future of Jefferson Academy.
