We’re almost at the end of the semester, Jags! Two more weeks until break!
Here are some important dates to remember as we close out the 2nd quarter:
● Monday, December 8: Last Day for college classes
● Tuesday, December 16: Science Fair 8:30 am - 1:00 pm
● Thursday, December 18: Finals A & C Block Classes Finals Schedule
● Friday, December 19: Finals B & D Block Classes Finals Schedule
IT’S COOKIE EXCHANGE TIME! JA Boosters Hospitality will be hosting a Cookie Exchange for our staff on Monday December 15th at 8am , we need LOTS of yummy cookies to make this special for them! ENROLLJEFFCO IS OPEN! What does this mean for you? This is the time of year when families need to log into the system to inform JA Secondary and Jeffco schools of their enrollment plans for the next academic school year.
Log into enrolljeffco.org, using the same login information you do for the Infinite Campus parent portal, anytime between today and January 9, and complete the intent to return steps or indicate if you will be leaving JA Secondary (Please note: You do not need to re-apply if you are a current family).
CAREER DAY PRESENTERS NEEDED The 2026 Career Day event is coming soon! On Thursday, February 26th, the halls will be filled with excitement as we present our annual Career Day event from 8:00am - 11:00am. We are just starting the initial planning process and are looking for a few people who are interested in presenting! If you are interested in finding out more information about the event or are looking to potentially present, please contact Mr. Cloonan!
STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION If you weren’t able to attend our Financial Aid night or are interested in getting additional guidance, please consider attending an upcoming virtual event hosted by Red Rock Community College, which will assist families with completing the FAFSA/CASFA.
● December 11, 2025, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
WARREN TECH OPEN HOUSE RESCHEDULED: Warren Tech is the designated Career and Technical Education center for Jeffco Public Schools, offering 32 innovative programs. Students work with experienced faculty and industry partners to engage in real-world professional projects, internships, and apprenticeships. Every Warren Tech student is taught Post-Secondary Workforce Readiness skills, and students may earn college credit and industry certifications. Juniors and seniors would attend Warren Tech Central, North, or South campus (depending on your program) for half the day and JA for the other half. There are morning and afternoon sessions offered at WT. Most credits earned at Warren Tech count toward graduation elective credits. For exceptions, see Ms. LeValley.
Interested in learning more about attending Warren Tech next year (2026-2027 school year)?
● December 10, 2025, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at each of the Warren Tech Campuses. No registration is required.
● The Open House is a great way to experience Warren Tech as a potential student, and it is highly recommended!
● This is a self-guided experience with informational presentations throughout the evening.

LAST CHANCE TO JOIN THE 9TH/10TH GRADE PUERTO RICO TRIP:
The deadline to join in on the April 6-12, 2026 Science and Culture trip to Puerto Rico is coming soon! December 17th is the last day to sign up for this awesome trip!

ATHLETICS
JH High Girls Basketball Registration Registration for junior high girls basketball is open. Registrations must be submitted by December 17th at 4:00pm. If registrations are not received by this time, your player will not be able to participate on Jan. 6th. They will be required to sit-out until all registrations are received. Registrations will not be approved over the winter break.
Winter Season Concession Stand Sign-up- Earn money for your school sport, club and organization, even Junior High can participate, when you volunteer at the concession stand. Slots are still available for the upcoming Basketball Tournament and a few slots in January and February. Not trained, adults can be trained at the next group training on Thursday January 15, 2025. Please Help! Volunteer for the JA Science Fair: Hello parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors! We are excited to announce our upcoming Science Fair scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 8:30 am in the JA Secondary Aux Gym. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their innovative projects and experiments, fostering a love for science and inquiry. We cordially invite you to be a judge for the Science Fair! Your expertise and insights will be invaluable in evaluating the students' work and encouraging their scientific endeavors. THANK YOU from your JA KEY CLUB! Our wonderful JA families donated 544 items to the JA Key Club's Food/Personal Item(s) Drive! These items were donated to the Denver Dream Center prior to Thanksgiving. They were sincerely grateful for your generosity!
MOUNTAINVIEW FOOD PANTRY AND FOOD DRIVE: We’re excited to partner with Mountainview Church (site of our recently purchased building at the Elementary campus) to offer a monthly Food Pantry, open to all JA and Summit families that may be facing hardship — no ID or zip code required. First Saturday of each month at 10 a.m.
To help keep the pantry stocked, our Community Food Drive runs November 3rd –December 19th. Drop off shelf-stable items at your convenience in the JA Elementary or JA Secondary front office, or donate online to Community Cares. Grocery gift cards (marked “Community Cares”) can also be left at any front desk to support families in need. Families needing delivery or pickup support may contact Tiffany Flores directly.
