Track Ribbon Cutting

We're still catching our breath from last week's official track opening and ribbon-cutting! What a day it was.

This past Tuesday afternoon, we were joined by the Jefferson Academy Board of Directors and the @broomfieldchamber for an event that we have all been looking forward to for years. Thanks to the hard work of many, our school now has a beautiful all-weather track and new grandstands. It's honestly a sight to behold.

The event was anchored by our school's first-ever varsity track meet, the Metro League Relays, where the Jags and other Metro League schools competed in a variety of relays and field events. Once all the dust had settled, the Jaguars came out victorious! A fine way to end the day as the sun set on the track.

We want to send our sincere thanks to our Executive Director, Mr. Tim Matlick, and our amazing Board of Directors. Our school is beyond thankful for your dedication to our students and community. Together, you not only put this project on the map, you cemented a legacy of excellence for years to come.

Thank you to the @broomfield_co for their partnership on the project. Without their help, this project would still be a dream. Thank you to the pilot of the project, Mr. Bott, for the countless hours working with the construction teams and for making our school shine day in and day out. And of course, thank you to Coach Thimsen. What started as a dream years ago has now become a reality. Thank you for guiding us across the finish line with an amazing team.

From dirt to dreams...congrats Jags!
