On November 18, the Board of Directors launched a comprehensive, nationwide search for our next Executive Director by approving McPherson & Jacobson, LLC to lead the process in partnership with Dr. Walt Cooper, retired superintendent of Cheyenne Mountain School District. Since that time, the Board has prioritized gathering meaningful input to guide the search. Principals collected feedback from staff, and a community-wide survey ensured families and community members had the opportunity to share their perspectives. This collective input shaped a leadership profile outlining the desired skills and attributes for the next Executive Director, which the Board formally approved during a special session on December 17.

The position was posted nationally on December 18 across multiple recruitment platforms and remained open through January 29, resulting in a strong pool of applicants. Throughout February, the Board worked closely with Dr. Cooper to review applications, conduct screenings, and thoughtfully narrow the field to finalists.

We are pleased to announce the two final candidates who will advance in the selection process for our next Executive Director. Families, staff, and community members are invited to participate in the public forum on March 9th, where candidates will engage in discussion and answer questions. Final interviews will take place on March 10th during a Board Special Session, which will be open to the public and held via Zoom in the same format as our monthly Board meetings. Following the forum and final interviews, the Board plans to select and announce the next Executive Director on March 17th. The selected candidate will officially begin serving as Executive Director in July.
